Look at the video example of Virgin holidays “Book by Weather” - a perfect example of taking a tried and tested principle (booking holidays) and creating a solution from a different point of view. We need to understand and therefore implement this format of visual thinking in products - it not only aids differentiation but creates great products based on existing concepts.
The product itself is also beautifully crafted - by this I refer to the fact that there is minimal typing, or entering of any information/data in the product. We are now fully entering the realm of gesture based interaction - and the more we progress with gesture based interaction the less people (our customers) will be inclined to type in data.
