About this site

Usually find me saving blind orphan kittens from burning buildings or washing my Superhero cape. Daytime however im the founder of the Products Division at Somo - Europe's leading mobile marketing agency

I understand @johnpavlus point of view here - in fact, I actually agree with it to a greater extent - creating futuristic videos highlighting a “digital utopia” only serves a specific purpose.

The need for concepts to be believable, or “liveable” is of paramount importance, especially in the age where “social tech” is key - but (and yes, there is a but) videos like these are created not to be a realistic impression or vision of what the world will be like, but instead a vision of what technology could be like at some point in the future.

Its about helping to open viewers minds, to allow them to follow a vision, a new paradigm shift in technology if you will - now that doesnt mean the future needs to have squeaky clean streets, good looking super public or roads filled with supercars, on the contrary.

However - if you are showcasing a vision of the future its natural to show the tech in beautiful, clean ambient surroundings.

Its simple really - Why does Audi always showcase its cars in the “world of white” super clean surroundings rather than a dirty East London street?
